About Work Hours Desk
Work Hours Desk is an independent calculator for people checking shifts, unpaid breaks and estimated gross pay. You can use it without an account. The calculator runs in your browser and adds whole minutes before it displays decimal hours.
How we check the arithmetic
Automated examples cover overnight shifts, separate workweeks, breaks, split shifts, punch rounding and daily overtime settings. You can compare the steps shown under each result with your own punch records. The default 40-hour weekly threshold and 1.5× rate reflect the general federal overtime framework described by the U.S. Department of Labor. Its hours-worked fact sheet explains paid rest periods and unpaid meals.
Limits
The site does not identify your employer's workweek, your exemption status, the governing state rule or whether a particular break was compensable. Options such as daily overtime and rounding are calculations based on settings you choose. They are not automatic legal determinations. A printed time card is a personal estimate, not an employer record.
